Competing in and training for a triathlon requires you to develop a refined swimming kit to make sure you're comfortable and safe in the water. Refining your kit is even more important when you're venturing out for open water or ocean swims, which in comparison to pool swimming involve a bit of a trade-off between the experience and safety.
We stock the necessities to ensure you're always staying atop of the surface, staying comfortable, and staying visible, with clear underwater vision. We have a variety of floatation devices to choose from to accompany you on your swim. Floats are low-drag and high-vis, making you an obvious target to avoid for boaties and other swimmers/divers. Cramping up during a swim isn't uncommon either (in my case, it's near every time) so having something to hang onto makes enduring these annoying hiccups much easier (or for when you're just buggered). We also offer specialised goggles designed to create next to no drag with a comfortable seal and great lenses that allow you to really enjoy your surroundings on your swim as well.
Water temperatures vary significantly around Australia and in many places swimming without a wettie along with some gloves and socks will make your experience much more arduous. Make sure you keep yourself comfortably warm, you'll conserve more energy and have a much more enjoyable time in the water. Throwing on some quality swimming neoprene can also help to improve your streamline and buoyancy. So do yourself (and everyone else) a big favour and maybe put the budgies away for the winter.
