A steamer is a full wetsuit made from neoprene and covers your entire body from ankles and wrists up and is suitable for surfing, swimming and diving. Steamers range in thicknesses from 2mm to 9mm. For more about selecting the neoprene in a steamer, we refer to the wetsuits materials page.
Other things to look out for in a steamer are flexible neck, ankle and wrist seals; whether the steamer has a hood attached; and whether the steamer has reinforced knees and elbows.
