Womens Short Jane (or short-john) Wetsuits are basically a sleeveless spring-suit and is a popular warm-water choice and great as a transitional season wetsuit, when it's not steamer weather. It may seem odd to suggest a wetsuit for warm weather but warm water 'softens' the skin, making it more likely to rash - so if you're heading to Indo for 3 weeks and you want to save your stomach then grab a short-jane. The short-jane wetsuit style is the least restrictive of all wetsuit styles as it covers none of joints - more neoprene means more fatigue.
Although most commonly used by the surfing world we are finding the short -john style to be the most desirable for Triathlon, ocean swimming, canoeing, kayaking, SUPing, adventure racing and obstacle course racing - basically anything that involves strenuous arm/knee activities.
