Womens Wetsuit Tops are thermally retentive swim and surf jackets that are made with Neoprene, a highly insulative material we find throughout the wetsuit world. Neoprene is the staple in wetsuit tops because you won't find a material anywhere in the world that is as stretchy or as warm, let alone as durable as neoprene. The material itself is a 3 layer sandwich with the outer layers being able to be modified to specialise the wetsuit top for a given activity.
Most Womens Wetsuit Tops feature a nylon/spandex outer jersey because it's the most durable and stretchy however the shiny external coat that you see below is known as 'smooth skin' - smooth skin provides the best protection against wind-chill and it's wind-chill that caused the invention of the wetty top.
