    Oneill Psycho Wetsuits

Oneill Mens Psycho Wetsuits are top of the range surfing wetsuits featuring completely sealed seams, Zen Zip and the supple neoprenes and jersey's we've come to expect from Oneill's market leading wetsuits.  Unfortunately, for you the internet shopper, you can't get touch and feel this suit because the TB3 rubber is extremely stretchy - but feel free to pop into our Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth stores.

The stand-out feature is the stretch factor. O'neill have achieved mondo stretch in the Psycho range by increasing the gas content within the rubber layer of the wetsuit, it's this gas content (typically nitrogen) that gives neoprene it's high stretch factor (the rubber in a wetsuit is actually a closed-cell foam, learn more about neoprene here).  They call this layer Envy Foam Rubber Core, for lack of a desire to avoid jargon.  It's a less known fact that the trapped gas inside the middle layer actually makes the suit warmer!

To get the most out of your Oneill Psycho Wetsuits we recommend washing it with the Australian made Wetsuit Wash and reading our Wetsuit Maintenance Guide

    Oneill Psycho Wetsuit Features

    • 3/2mm TechnoButter 3Oneill's ultimate material is a market leader in stretch, one feel and you'll know.  Futhermore, it's their warmest and most lightweight neoprene - everything you expect from a top-range suit.
    • TB Firewall:  Oneill's technobutter firewall is present in much of the Oneill Psycho panelling.  It increases thermal retention by trapping tiny air-bubbles in the fibre-weave, an idea borrow from sea mammals like seals.
    • Zen Zip Back Zip: We've gone into great detail above but all you need to know is it's the smartest back-zip on the market, so smart they had to patent it.  Learn more with our seams blog
    • Fuze Zip Chest Zip: A relatively standardised chest zip in that it mitigates cold-water flushing better and is stretchy because there is no zip (zips can't stretch) placed across your paddle zone.
    •  Fluid-Weld Seams: Oneill have been strong proponents of removing all stitching from a wetsuit as it's one of the least stretchy components.  They achieve strength and durability, without stitching, but by triple-gluing the panels together. Ofcourse, this is completely sealed against water but the no-stitching equates to more stretch! Learn more about seams with our vlog
    • Smooth-Skin Neck Gusset: The inner lining of the neck is a highly elastic yet tacky smooth-skin material - this achieves a greater neck seal but also reduces neck abrasion/rashing.
    • Woven Kneepads: A durable weave that ensures greater durability around your knees.
