The Surf For Life Project aims to raise funds to introduce 500 underprivileged children to surfing. We love the sound of this initiative and what it stands for. Learning to surf would bring so much joy to these young Australian children and Wetsuit Warehouse is looking into what we can do to get involved and help introduce young underprivileged Aussie kids to the wonderful world of surfing.
The 2013 initiative was a huge success and was run in remote surfing communities across Australia. From Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, to Wilcannia in the remote far-west of NSW and Ceduna in SA and many other areas, underprivileged kids joined the Vegemite SurfGroms program and enjoyed the ride of their lives.
“With the support of our partners and valued donations to the Surf for Life Project we would like to change the lives of Australian kids who would not otherwise have been able to participate and enjoy our amazing sport", Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark said.
With great brands including Quicksilver and Roxy already continuing their support this year, and other donors getting on board, we hope that we too can contribute to providing a little bit of joy to the lives of these young kids - there's no better way to bring a smile to a kids face than showing them how to catch their first wave!
