    Hello rubber world!

    Hello rubber world!

Hi my name is Sam Price and I am new to the concept of wearing tight fitting rubber/ neoprene suits.

Recently I bought one of the new Xcel X-flex 3/2mm suits to attempt to freedive in and as uncomfortable as it seemed trying this suit on I realised that if I sweat as much as i do in the change room i surely can’t be cold out on the water. I have a background in waterskiing and wakeboarding and i found that the Xcel suit was the most versatile for me to be able to wakeboard, Freedive, Surf and experience other water activities. I tried on 3 different suits that were appropriate for what I was looking for. The first was a 2 piece Beuchat Spearfishing/free diving suit. This suit was extremely comfortable but I decided I wanted a one piece even stretch suit for the waterskiing and wakeboarding. The second suit I tried on was the Aropec Surfpro 2 rear zipper suit. This suit was also very nice but the zipper was still to constrictive for what i wanted. Finally i found this suit with no zippers at all. I looked at it trying to understand how i could possibly get into it. This suit slid easily up over my body and was the most comfortable out of the three suits i tried on. After Diving in it for 2 hours only at the end of the dive did i feel the flush of cold water inside the suit. I’m not sure if my body shape assisted with this but the fit of this suit kept me warm and near dry until the end of my dive.

If there are any new divers looking to get a start[gallery]

and use a suit for multiple purposes i would definitely recommend any of the Xcel x-flex/infinity series.
